Our client, a small Federal Government Commission based in Civic, ACT, requires an experienced Senior Data Developer for a long 12 + 12 month contract.
Duties
- Join a growing, but well-established team specialising in data innovation, data solutions and cloud platform development.
- Lead data projects and work closely with key stakeholders to create solutions for business problems.
- Be responsible to design and develop Azure-based data and analytic solutions and platforms.
Selection Criteria
- At least 3+ years of experience in Data Development, performing detail design based on high level architecture.
- Experience in detailed design for data integration on Azure cloud data services including ADLS, SQL DB, data lake Synapse and blob storage.
- Solid experience developing complex ETLs based on SSIS and customised coding C#, .net or vb.net.
- Development experience with Power BI (stored procedure, DAX, functions, views).
- Proficient with Azure data factory and Azure Event Hub.
- Strong understanding of DevOps or other version control system.
- Government regulations, policies, and ethical considerations surrounding AI/ML technologies.
- Government systems, processes, and data sources is highly desirable.
- AI/ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques, such as supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing, anomaly detection, or reinforcement learning.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing AI/ML solutions, preferably within a government context.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++, and experience with AI/ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn).
- Experience in data pre-processing, cleaning, and visualization techniques, as well as handling large-scale datasets and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Apache Spark).
- Experience developing and interfacing with Restful APIs or similar.
- Machine Learning solutions.
- Developing Python solutions.
- Working with Big Data Architecture.
