Hays are currently partnering with one of Australia’s leading general insurers who are seeking a senior Solution Designer to spearhead one of their business streams within data and analytics. The role is a key player in a 3 part business transformation as the organisation makes way for cloud, AI, ML and data use case expansion.

Your new role:
The role is 100% technical and the successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing data models, pipelines and products to support the development of Machine Learning Models. The role leads a team of data professionals and works closely with a data science team.
A mixture of BAU and project-based responsibility, your role will encompass:
- Data Strategy
- Data Solution Design
- Stakeholder collaboration
What you’ll need to succeed:
- Over 5 years solution development and design experience within complex data architecture(s)
- P&C insurance industry experience – this is essential
- Strong knowledge of SDLC
Technology Stack:
- Azure cloud services (Databricks, ADF)
- MSBI stack (SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) as well as Power BI
- Data modelling (ERWIN) with methods such as Data Vault, Kimball, 3 NF)
- Data Science: Python, R, SQL, Pyspark
- Jenkins, Bamboo, GitHub, Jira, Confluence
- Graph Databases and MongoDB
