About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Desktop Publisher &  Digital Resources Administrator  to support our Publications Manager and the Publications Team.

You will have responsibility for the coordination, desktop publishing and production of a range of highly respected print and digital member resources, ensuring presentation is of the highest quality and adheres to Ai Group's brand and design guidelines.

Print and Digital Resources range from promotional materials to key compliance publications and web-based information. These resources require liaison with content providers, other internal stakeholders and external suppliers to ensure effective and timely delivery of member relevant content and services. Importantly you will provide senior level support to the Digital Resources Administrator and work closely with the Publications Manager.

Whilst the reality of each day will be different, you can expect to be accountable for:

  • In conjunction with the Digital Resources Administrator, coordinate the desktop publishing,  production and distribution of member services (print and Digital Resources).
  • Utilise Adobe Suite software (including InDesign) and Microsoft Office to maintain and update publications, including, but not limited to, loose leaf and digital manuals and handbooks, member advices and updates, online content, promotional materials and templates
  • Proof and closely check content and design of content for accuracy, particularly where collaboration has taken place with internal or external stakeholders, such as external printers
  • Answer and effectively address member enquiries in relation to publications and relevant member services
  • Utilise website Content Management Systems to maintain Digital Resources  
  • Provide initiatives and marketing tools for member services resources through effective print production and multi-media communications, including the online shop by managing content descriptions, pricing and featured publications and working in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications Department
  • Working in conjunction with the Publications Manager assist in the development of the Member Services budget in relation to Publications
  • Provide support and direction to the Digital Resources Administrator where appropriate and required, and to work collaboratively to ensure all tasks within the responsibility of the Publications team are managed effectively, particularly during peak periods or when people are on leave.
  • Verify payable invoices and track expenditure against agreed budget

To best succeed in this role you will have;

  • Relevant experience in a similar role
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe InDesign
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including advanced skills in Microsoft Word and basic/intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel
  • Experienced with database management systems; Microsoft Dynamics experience will be looked upon favourably
  • Experience working with content management systems or similar software-driven online publishing systems
  • Knowledge of Ebook systems and other web based storage facilities for information would be advantageous.
