Role : Senior Developer – Applications and Information

Essential Responsibilities :
- A minimum of ten (10) or more years in ICT with eight (8) or more years of direct experience in application development and a minimum of three (3) years as a technical lead
- Experience in performing multiple roles in Agile SCRUM projects
- Extensive experience of managing and working with external ICT service providers in the design and delivery of complex ICT solutions
- Strong knowledge of ICT development and project delivery methodologies
- Certified SCRUM master
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and solution identification skills
- Practical experience in leading small project teams to deliver outcomes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and presentation skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation, and negotiation
- Ability to translate solution architecture into solutions that deliver business value
- Strong customer focus background with commercial awareness and strategic thinking capability
- Ability to manage relationships across the organization at multiple levels
- Senior application developers must be proficient with the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- B2B and SOA framework
- Web service standards and requirements
- Security standards, such as WS Security, Digital Certificates, SSL, etc.
- Deployment architecture
- Secure Software Development Lifecycle
- Senior application developers must be proficient with one or more of the following skills:
- Java EE 8+ with the ability to assess and implement new frameworks in alignment with Western Power’s strategy
- Build and continuously integrate tools such as, but not limited to, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
- Extract / Transform / Load technologies , including Informatica Reporting technologies, including Cognos, Qlik, SAS, and MS Excel
