We are currently looking out for Senior Developer - Front End with React experience to deliver on major programs of work for NSW Government. The Digital Fines Customer Experience (CX) squad is looking for an experienced Front-End developer to join their growing team. As part of the Digital Fines, Debt and Shared Services Tribe, the CX squad is continuing the transformation of Fines Online services as it partners with other Tribe squads to modernise our legacy systems and technology to build a strong foundation for the future. This is an exciting opportunity to work in Revenue Digital and contribute to our digital delivery vision.
The Digital Fines CX squad has developed into an effective product team which fosters a collaborative culture to support the development and management of products that deliver meaningful customer value.
Reporting to the Principal Product Owner, the successful candidate will be a critical contributor to this cross-functional team which includes a Senior Delivery Lead, Designers, other software Developers, Business Analysts, and Quality Assurance Engineers. In the spirit of Agile development practices, each team member actively contributes throughout the development lifecycle to ensure the product is optimally built, enhanced and supported for Revenue NSW and its millions of customers.
About You:
As a Senior Front End Developer in Revenue NSW, you will be involved in improving the web application experience of our 8+ million customers. Your day to day will look like:
  • Pairing with other engineers / developers and collaborating with Designers, Business Analysts and Product owners to estimate and develop optimal, viable solutions
  • Defining / enhancing web applications all the way from tools, technology, processes, and customer value
  • Improving the software delivery system, including decreasing build times, and increasing automated tests
  • Mentoring, coaching, and guiding fellow engineers
Skills Required
  • Well versed with React. You have 5+ years of solid software development and are a skilled web developer.
  • Excellent knowledge of REACT framework, Angular, JavaScript, HTML, Typescript, Storybook, testing frameworks and CSS
  • Sound understanding of usability, accessibility and responsive applications
  • Proficient with Front End design patterns and best practices
  • Good understanding of SCM - Git, Subversion
  • Basic understanding of AWS
  • Basic understanding of Gitlab pipeline and Terraform
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Outstanding communication and collaboration skills
