An incredibly rare and exciting opportunity in a leadership position is now available as the Senior Development Engineer (Civil) or Principal Development Engineer (Civil) within the Development Engineering team here at Council!
Reporting to the Coordinator Development Services (Engineering), this role is an important leadership position within the Development and Planning Branch and works alongside the Coordinator Development Services (Engineering). The primary focus of the role is to lead a highly motivated, engaged, and focused team to facilitate the Development Engineering function across our diverse region to support planned development outcomes.
The Senior Development Engineer (Civil) or Principal Development Engineer (Civil) works at a very high level of autonomy and initiative to manage the flow of work in the team whilst providing technical leadership, coaching and a supportive environment to enable the team to perform and achieve success.

Capable - You have experience and demonstrated knowledge of Civil engineering. There is still room to learn on the job!

Primary Objectives:
This position of Senior Development Engineer (Civil) is primarily focused on providing technical leadership, guidance, and technical support about Civil Engineering to the Development Engineers (Civil) within the Development Engineering team.
In addition to the above, and specific to the Principal Development Engineer (Civil), provide expert engineering advice and support to the team in accordance with the RPEQ certification.
