About the role:
Primary responsibilities of the position include the design, analysis, modelling, inspection, supervision, assessment and certification of different development types and engineering matters related to urban renewal including but not limited to;
- public and private road and drainage,
- bulk earthwork, retaining walls,
- stormwater and floodplain management,
- water quality treatment and pollution prevention,
- erosion and sediment control,
- S138 Roads Act and S68 Local Government Act civil works,
- vehicle traffic access, egress and manoeuvring,
- strata and Torrens titled subdivision.
We are currently seeking a highly motivated, experienced and enthusiastic individual to join our Development Engineering team on a full time, contractual basis at Campbelltown City Council.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following key skills and attributes:
- Tertiary qualifications - a degree in civil engineering or related engineering field.
- Prioritise and manage workload to agreed timeframes in a busy working environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Extensive experience in engineering design, analysis, modelling, inspection, supervision, assessment and certification of different urban renewal projects.
- Excellent working knowledge of the regulatory framework that professional Development Engineers are required to work within including but not limited to the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act & Regulations, Local Government Act & Regulations, etc.
- Construction Induction (White card).
- CPEng, RPEng, or registration on the NER highly desirable.
- Class C drivers licence.
