Exciting Opportunity: Senior Development Manager Position with a Premier Mixed-Use Property Development Company

As a Senior Development Manager, you will be an integral part of a team this is an opportunity to be part of a legacy of excellence and innovation in the property development sector.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership and Execution: Take charge of overseeing large-scale development projects from inception to completion.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of development professionals. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, ensuring professional growth and effective team dynamics.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Management: Actively engage with and manage relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, including investors, local government authorities, contractors, and community groups.
  • Budgeting and Financial Oversight: Oversee project feasibilities and budgets, ensuring optimal allocation and management of financial resources. Monitor expenditures, provide financial forecasts, and prepare detailed reports for stakeholders.
  • Quality Control and Compliance: Ensure that all projects meet the highest standards of quality and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices.
  • Innovative Design: Work closely with architects and designers to integrate innovative and sustainable practices into development projects.
  • Risk Management and Problem Solving: Identify potential risks associated with projects and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • On-Site Management and Decision-Making: Regularly visit project sites to oversee progress, make informed decisions on-site, and ensure adherence to project plans and specifications.

About You
Our ideal candidate for the Senior Development Manager position is a well-rounded professional who is as comfortable on the construction site as they are in the boardroom. We are looking for someone who embodies the following qualities and qualifications:
  • Educational Background: Holds a relevant degree in Property Development, Real Estate, Urban Planning, or a similar field, providing a strong foundation in the principles of property development and project management.
  • Comprehensive Industry Experience: Brings extensive experience, preferably with around 10-15 years in the property development sector, including hands-on experience with construction processes. Your background should demonstrate a proven track record in successfully managing and delivering large-scale projects.
  • Construction Knowledge and On-Site Proficiency: Possesses a solid understanding of construction methods and is comfortable conducting and leading site meetings. You are not afraid to put on a hard hat and be actively involved on-site, ensuring project progress, and addressing issues firsthand.
  • Versatile and Adaptable: A true all-rounder, capable of handling a variety of tasks, whether it involves detailed planning, detailed design work, on-site decision-making, or high-level strategic discussions. You are not too precious about getting your hands dirty and are willing to tackle any task required for the success of the project.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Exhibits strong leadership skills, with experience in leading, mentoring, and inspiring teams. You understand the importance of nurturing talent and are capable of managing upwards, effectively communicating with and reporting to senior management.
  • Exceptional Communication and Negotiation Skills: Outstanding communication abilities are essential. You are adept at negotiating with various stakeholders and can clearly articulate ideas and plans, ensuring alignment and cooperation among diverse groups.
  • Problem-Solving and Attention to Detail: Skilled in navigating complex challenges and finding effective solutions. Your attention to detail ensures that every aspect of a project is executed to the highest standards.
