*This is a Fixed Term Position, end date 31 January 2025*
 
Elevate your career as the Senior Digital Product Owner, at the forefront of innovation. The opportunity will serve as the crucial link between technology and business, ensuring a nuanced understanding of the customer's voice. Balancing immediate business needs with a long-term perspective, you'll prioritise activities and features to achieve harmony between business objectives, customer satisfaction, short-term wins, and long-term strategy. Grounded in data-driven decision-making, you'll be responsible for making tough choices on prioritising work, emphasising not just the successful launch of new platforms and features but also identifying and delivering optimisation opportunities post-launch. Collaborating with your team, you'll establish and communicate clear KPIs to stakeholders, maintaining a focused pursuit of objectives. Position Outcomes / Accountabilities 
• Set and execute product and service strategies in close collaboration with an Agile team and senior stakeholders, delivering a robust Digital Product for Victorians and visitors to Victoria.
• Improve the transport customer experience by identifying business objectives, marrying them to customer needs, and considering technical systems and limitations, managing prioritisation and trade-offs among conflicting priorities.
• Create and maintain a digital experience roadmap, including ongoing product strategy, product planning, and requirements for new features, functionality and integrations.
• Lead a squad, collaborating with project managers, solution architects, developers, testers and designers on the tactical aspects of product development.
 
Key Selection Criteria
• Demonstrated experience driving product strategy, product roadmaps and backlogs to successfully deliver transport products and services through digital solutions. 
• Expert understanding of digital customer experience, best practice usability, digital content, device and interface conventions, and web standards including accessibility. 
• Strong stakeholder management and presentation skills with the ability to display good judgement, creativity and innovation in a fast-paced environment to deliver best-in-class digital customer experiences.
• Skilled analytical thinker who can gather data, break problems down into their parts and propose solutions with a proven track record of delivering on time and on budget.
 
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory 

• Tertiary degree in a relevant field.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Product Owner in a digital environment.
 
Desirable 
• Experience leading various types of customer validation and testing, including iteration reviews and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with real customers.
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS.
