The role
Reporting to the Executive Director as the Senior Director you will be responsible for leading an effective and client focussed team to effectively deliver Corporate Technology solutions to the Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services across the state.
The role has strategic oversight of the effectiveness and sustainability of corporate solutions that support:
- Payroll and workforce management services and solutions including the 24/7 rostering and fortnightly payment for over 125,000 staff each fortnight with gross annual payroll expenditure exceeding $13 billion.
- Finance, business and logistics to enable frontline services to operate and deliver effective health care services.
- The management of a total Queensland Health annual budget of approximately $18.5 billion financially through the S/4HANA solution.
You will have
- Demonstrated experience as a values-based leader, driving cohesiveness and collaboration within teams.
- Proven track record in providing high-level strategic advice and guidance in managing large-scale corporate support systems.
- Strong ability to engage and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, navigating diverse perspectives and interests.
- Proficiency in applying formal program and project management methodologies to deliver successful outcomes.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with a proven ability to manage complex contracts and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
The Corporate Services Division (CSD) provides a wide-range of enabling and business support services to the Department of Health. Focusing on delivering essential corporate services in partnership to enable a high performing Queensland health system, the CSD is responsible for major corporate functions including finance, human resources, legal, audit, risk and assurance, governance, business enhancement, procurement and supply chain.
