Details: The Governance division are seeking an experienced leader to fill the role of Senior Director, Governance commencing on the 11th March 2024 for a period of up to six months.
The Senior Director, Governance, reports to the Executive Branch Manager, Governance and Ministerial Services and has an overarching strategic planning, reporting, information management and assurance role across the Directorate. Key elements of the position include oversight and strategic direction of the Directorate’s governance functions, covering risk management, audit and assurance, corporate planning and reporting, records management, administration of the Directorate’s EDRMS (Objective), business continuity and information management. The position also oversees the Directorate’s Project Management Office and is responsible for implementation of the Wellbeing Framework within TCCS.
- Providing leadership, direction and guidance to the Governance team exercising exceptional people management skills;
- Ensuring delivery of effective and robust governance arrangements for the Directorate;
- Developing and fostering effective working relationships with all stakeholders within the Directorate and other agencies.
- Representing the Directorate on cross-government committees and working groups.
- Ensuring the development and provision of well researched, timely and balanced policy advice to meet statutory requirements and Directorate priorities, often within tight timeframes.
- Ensuring timely delivery of the TCCS Annual Report in accordance with relevant legislative and policy requirements;
- Managing the Strategic Planning and Business Planning functions of the Directorate;
- Supporting the Executive Branch Manager in developing team objectives for short term tasks and strategic planning for longer term initiatives.
