Primary Location WA-Perth - Inner-John Tonkin Water Centre - Leederville

A meaningful role providing expertise in drinking water quality operations.

As a Senior Technical Advisor – Distribution, you will provide operational support to ensure water quality processes and requirements is implemented across operations state-wide.

You will support stakeholder engagement and performance reporting to ensure that drinking water quality requirements for disinfection and chemical quality is met across all of our water supply schemes. You will collaborate with a team of technical experts in water quality to lead the assessment and reporting of critical control point performance and compliance, in accordance with our health requirements.

A little bit about you.

You will have substantial experience in water quality management processes and water quality technical expertise.

A degree level qualification or higher in relevant scientific or engineering field is a requirement of this role.

Substantial experience with SCADA systems and water treatment processes is highly desirable.

The fundamentals of this role:

  • Provide subject matter expertise to maintain or improve drinking water quality performance particularly for critical control points with performance analysis, proactive identification of water quality issues and trends, non-compliances and near-misses and support the development and implementation of strategies, processes, and systems to address these challenges
  • Lead engagement with regions to ensure water quality principles and processes relating to critical control points are continuously implemented, and any non-compliance is appropriately addressed.
  • Ensure compliance reporting of critical control points is completed on time and to a high standard for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the development and management of drinking water quality processes to achieve business and drinking water quality objectives and maintain compliance including with the regulatory requirements within the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DoH
  • Support development of water quality processes and documentation including policies, plans and procedures to facilitate continuous improvement

Manage and maintain effective relationships with project stakeholders particularly relating to critical control points
