Job description

Create and implement a Procurement Strategy that is a true differentiator for Property Management in the Pacific Region

Plan and implement transformational procurement initiatives and monetisation programs

Work with key stakeholder groups to define the procurement function’s value proposition and service offering

This pivotal role will work with the Head of Operations and Property Management’s State and Strategic Account Leaders to develop a Procurement Strategy that, when implemented, creates a true differentiator for Property Management in the Pacific region.  

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing transformational procurement initiatives and monetisation programs that will ensure CBRE’s supply chain practices are recognised as world-class by the market and its clients.

Here’s a snapshot of your day:

  • Define & maintain the Property Management Pacific Procurement Strategy and ensure implementation and adoption by the business as well as reset and implement the governance framework around vendor prequalification, supplier onboarding and sourcing in-line with CBRE policy, legislative requirements and global best practice frameworks.
  • Develop differentiating category solutions and establish preferred suppliers across all PM/FM categories
  • Transform, optimise and implement best-in-class Procurement technology solutions – pilot and role out S2C and vendor pre-qualification solutions for our core business and support all other relevant initiatives on the technology roadmap
  • Implement global procurement policies and develop Pacific procedures to accelerate self-service procurement through continuous improvement of playbooks, benchmarking data, L&D training materials and lunch and learn sessions
  • Assess the effectiveness of the procurement strategy and measure key KPI’s, operational compliance to the procurement processes and policies as well as effectively manage risk in Procurement and supply chain.

About you:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Procurement, and 5 years within the facilities, property or construction industries
  • Experience of providing strategic leadership and direction and/or senior procurement supply chain role within a large and complex organisation
  • Proven capability of effectively organising, motivating and developing people in a complex, matrix-managed organisation
  • In-depth knowledge of Supply chain and procurement processes, relevant legislation and leading practices with significant experience in a senior procurement role. 
  • Experience of establishing and running Procurement Programs including governance. 
  • Evidence of delivering significant financial and non-financial benefits to a commercial organisation.
  • Proven capability of exceptional supplier relationship management with range of supplier organisations 
  • Previous exposure in providing premium client service would be an advantage.
