About You:
You are a passionate diversity and inclusion professional with experience working across all diversity dimensions. Building meaningful and strategic relationships with colleagues and leaders across the business is at the heart of your work. You provide opportunity for your co-workers to share their lived experiences, as well as learning opportunities for colleagues to raise their awareness, be active allies, challenge their biases and contribute to an inclusive workplace.
About the role:
We are seeking a Senior Advisor - Diversity and Inclusion to join us during at an exciting stage of our diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging journey. You’ll be involved in the development of our new DEI Strategy, and the roll out of unconscious bias, leadership and mentoring programs.
The role sees you working across all diversity dimensions with a focus on people with disability, LGBTQIA+ folks, people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, young people and gender equity. You understand the importance of an intersectional approach to DEI work, and you can provide strategic advice and expertise around tailoring solutions to effect a positive change in workplace culture, inclusion and belonging across the Corporation.
What the role will involve:
  • Managing internal diversity Working Groups and Social Networks
  • Managing DEI Events
  • Contributing to the design and delivery of our DEI Strategy
  • Developing and rolling out inclusion and belonging initiatives, programs, and training
  • Enabling behavioural change across the Corporation that helps to foster an inclusive workplace
  • Building partnerships with external organisations, and representing the Corporation on external working groups and DEI events
  • Providing guidance to all areas of the business relating to diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, including in regionals part of WA
  • Initiating and maintaining diversity employment and retention strategies
  • Translating relevant legislation, protocols and policies into practice to ensure the Corporation is meeting statutory requirements.
Key skills and experience:
  • Tertiary level qualification or equivalent workplace experience in DEI, Psychology, Human Resources, Change Management or Learning and Development
  • Previously demonstrated diversity and inclusion work experience
  • Experience in designing, implementing and successful delivery of DEI initiatives
  • Exceptional skills in negotiating and influencing to drive change
  • Strong stakeholder management, collaboration and consultation skills at all levels of the business
