About the role
Reporting to the Technical Service Superintendent, you will be primarily responsible for providing support to the Production Drill and Blast department which will including reporting, drill and blast plans and schedules. You will ensure these functions are done in a timely, professional and safe manner.
This position will be offered on a 8/6 FIFO from Perth
You will be responsible for:
- Produce, review, and approve Drill and Blast schedules, plans, and designs
- Monitor and make changes for Drill and Blast resourcing requirements
- Maintain and improve the Drill and Blast process
- Carry out and report QA/QC on the Drill and Blast Process
- Undertake Drill and Blast related project studies and investigations
- Maintain and enhance contractor relationships
- Liaise with internal/external stakeholders to maintain production plan
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Tertiary Qualification in Mining Engineering or relevant experience
- 5+ years in mining open pit environment
- 4+ years’ experience in drill and blast design
- Exposure to mining contract management
- Proficient with planning software such as ShotPlus, Blast IQ and Surpac
- Proficient with Microsoft suite especially Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Current or able to obtain WA Driver’s License
