We are looking for a motivated individual to take on the challenge of the Senior Technical Advisor Drinking Water Quality. This role’s primary function is to ensure all Drinking Water supply schemes are planned and designed in accordance with Water Quality requirements and investment is prioritised based on risk. Reporting to the Team Leader Water Quality Planning, this permanent role joins a dynamic team of like minded professions and provides an opportunity to improve the public health of Western Australians.
Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure Drinking Water Quality requirements are captured in asset investment planning and delivery processes
  • Assist in project assessments and options analysis.
  • Ensure the appropriate content within asset investment documentation as required for Drinking Water Quality projects
  • Support regions with the identification of actions in the case of project deferrals.
  • Create new capital/operational projects arising from the Corporation’s Water Quality Risk Assessment and formulate collective risk reduction projects
  • All other duties as required by the Water Quality Business Unit.
Skills & Experience
  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate engineering discipline or relevant equivalent.
  • Substantial experience in planning, design, operations and/or delivery of infrastructure assets.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and practices relating to Drinking Water Quality management.
  • Well-developed interpersonal and negotiation skills that enable strong stakeholder and relationship management.
  • Excellent written communication skills (including technical plans and reports).
  • The values and behaviours that contribute to a constructive, high performance culture.
