Senior E&I Engineer

Our Client is one of Australia's leading energy infrastructure businesses. Operating Australia's largest gas network in Australia.

An opportunity is available for an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Engineer with commissioning to join the Infrastructure Asset Engineering team in Brisbane. Heavy focussed on design and pushing out deliverables.

You'll be working in a team spread between Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne and will have the personality and experience to keep things on track across a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

• Duties will include project scoping, front end and detailed engineering design and package engineering.
• Provide discipline designs for a variety of upgrade, improvement, and compliance projects, including power system and instrumentation upgrades, communication systems upgrade and hazardous area compliance and upgrade programs.
• Commissioning
• Develop engineering designs for station and rotating equipment unit control system upgrades, metering systems, delivery stations and other instrumentation and control system upgrade works.
• Ensure adherence to the established company project framework, engineering and quality standards, customer, and regulatory standards.

About You:

• Practical knowledge of the requirements of Australian and international standards in the fields of electrical and instrumentation engineering for gas transmission systems.
• Practical knowledge of State and Australian legislation governing gas transmission and applications including HSE requirements.
• Experience in hazardous area electrical equipment engineering and compliance management (AS60079 suite of standards).
• Experience in participating in HAZOPs, CHAZOPs, SIL studies and other risk assessments.
• Ability to undertake electrical and instrumentation design activities and provide technical review of others' work, including calculations, drawings, reports, and specifications.
• Previous oil&gas experience would be ideal.
• RPEQ Accreditation
• Bachelor of Engineering - Electrical
