Working on a diverse number of projects for the Ballast Cleaning Operations team, you will provide Project Management/ Administration and maintenance of Engineering Standards, Designs, Legislation, specifications and work practices. This exciting opportunity can be based in either Rockhampton or Sarina.
- Organise technical aspects of complex Engineering Projects from planning through to execution as per requirement specifications, safety in operations from a contractor perspective as well as internal operations.
- Develop and coordinate technical aspects and strategies for new technology, financial instruments, procurement strategies applicable to engineering systems and networks.
- Design, checking and auditing of complex engineering systems submitted by planning teams and external providers.
- Organise and prepare the associated documentation from a quality assurance perspective and aid in the development of new and emergent technologies with asset data teams.
- Ensure that engineering designs produced conform to legislation and the highest degree of regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the training and development of managers and other senior executives allowing them to understand complex methodologies in simple forms.
- The ability to present concepts and financial strategies to improve efficiency to senior executives.
- Site Supervision opportunities of rail projects
- Tertiary Qualification in Engineering
- Engineering experience associated with the rail environment.
- RPEQ preferred or ability to obtain.
- Substantial skills in conducting and leading inquiries, special investigations and audits
- Ability to take decisive action under extreme pressure.
