The Team
You will join a large and dispersed team located across the country supporting the delivery of electoral events under provisions of the Electoral Integrity Framework. You will work across a diverse and dispersed network, working closely with the NT State Office Executive, National Office branch staff and contacts in other States and Territories.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a versatile and energetic person who will be responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex in nature, under general direction from more senior officers. This person will be expected to manage their workflow and make decisions within defined legislative parameters relating to their areas of responsibility. At Election time, the role may also be required to take on new responsibilities at short notice.
The responsibilities of the role in the team includes processing enrolment transactions by entering, checking, and verifying information and making decisions based on AEC policies. You will be undertaking Electoral Roll integrity assurance and maintenance activities and responding to public enquiries relating to enrolment and electoral matters more broadly. Making decisions and resolving issues with some guidance from more senior staff, contributing to election planning and delivery in line with Work Program responsibilities will be required.
This role will include escalating complex issues as required, supervising and providing operational support to small teams during business-as-usual operations, increasing to medium sized teams during election periods and additional responsibilities as required.
