The role will be based in Perth, WA and offered on an initial 12-month contract.
What you’ll do:
- Effectively manages multiple scopes of varying size and complexity.
- Driven and proactive; strives to deliver a quality outcome and adaptable; able to shift focus depending upon given priorities.
- Able to identify potential issues/concerns whilst, within a timely manner, develop suitable solutions, able to support the MWT with vendor/OEM engagement and the Project ABU stakeholder engagements (projects and engineering).
- Actively support the MWT (HO) Project delivery Coordinator and engaged in driving delivery of ad-hoc engineering scopes and MOC Blacklining/Redlining scopes.
- Responsible for the technical integrity/assurance of Design deliverables, 3D Model(s) and Model metadata, CAD build and ensure the Project SID, HFE requirements are addressed and met within 3D Model and Design deliverables.
- Assist MWT team in understanding project scope and CTR preparation (standard Tasks, specific deliverables, Norm suitability),in MWT Database scope tracking and reporting and also assist/input to ADO Kanban tool.
- Facilitate resolution of discipline specific scope and technical queries (TQ) and attend and disseminate findings from Lessons Learnt Workshops.
- Responsible for weekly project time tracking (i.e. expended hours across CTR Tasks and Deliverables). (This does not involve GBS timesheet approval).
- Deliverable uploading of MOC Blacklining/Redlining scopes to D2 and organising support of resources (as required) from E&C Sustaining Capital team to for technical reviews or general support (engineers and designers).
- Ability to lead and drive a small team to successfully deliver quality deliverables, whilst ensuring technical integrity, to planned schedule and within allocated budget.
What you’ll bring
- Experienced senior designer, recently performed a project Lead Design role with proven workshare office experiences and fully conversant with the Project ABU policies, practices and project scope execution.
- The candidate is expected to become fully conversant with the internal policies, processes, practices and system tools.
- A recognised design qualification (Advanced Diploma) in the relevant discipline (Electrical).
- Essential: Experienced, competent user of AVEVA 3D modelling packages (PDMS, E3D), AutoCAD, Microstation (2D & 3D) and lighting design software (DIALux, AGi32).
- Competent in the use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite, PDF Exchange.
- Selection of electrical equipment (lighting & small power, control & wiring devices, enclosures).
- Proven experience in designing electrical deliverables such as:
- Single line diagrams – HV and LV.
- Three-line Diagrams.
- Schematics for panels such as incomers, feeders, VSDs and motor starters.
- Cable schedules.
- Material take offs / BoM.
- Electrical equipment layouts and Switchroom layouts.
- Earthing layouts, Earthing diagrams and Key interlocking diagrams.
- Primary and secondary schematics.
- Termination diagrams.
- Panel general arrangements.
- Lighting and Small Power layouts.
- Hazard area layouts.
