About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineerwithin our NSW office, located in the CBD, Sydney. Our Organisation provides an opportunity for you to work in a supportive environment with dynamic professionals in a Senior Electrical Engineering role. The role will support you in your growth as a professional as you’ll be working alongside some of the industry’s best and brightest in the field.
They key responsibilities will include:
- Design ASP Level 3 and Low Voltage (LV) Infrastructure solutions for a wide range of sectors including Defence, Health, Education, Commercial, and Retail.
- Preparation of design, specifications, reports, calculations, drawings, cost estimation and details/schedules for projects.
- Undertaking site inspections and preparing reports involving Design/inspection/safety reports, calculations & technical specifications.
- Collaborate with inter-disciplines to develop and implement innovative technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Project controls including QA, document control.
About You
The successful applicant will seek to support the growth of the business through continuous improvement practices within the organisation. This role would suit a Senior Electrical Engineer with 5-8 years’ experience in ASP Level 3 and LV electrical infrastructure project who enjoys working in teams and helping clients to realise their project goals.
To be successful in this role it is expected that you will have the following skills:
- Australian-recognised tertiary degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Previous experience in designing of three network distributors in NSW, including Essential Energy, Endeavour Energy and Ausgrid.
- 5-8 years previous experience in Low Voltage infrastructure and ASP Level 3 Designer position.
- Proficient in AutoCAD drafting to all NSW Distributor Standards
- A well-developed knowledge in codes and standards including the NCC, AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, AS/NZS1158, and AS/NZS 4282.
- LCC Design Accreditation to design Queensland network distributor would be an advantage, but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in industry standard software such as Poles n Wires, PowerCAD, AGI32, Perfect Lite, Bluebeam.
- Working collaboratively within an inclusive team to deliver projects that involve the design and documentation of ASP Level 3 design, low voltage electrical power distribution systems, and external lighting design for new and existing sites.
- The ability to work well both autonomously and within a team environment.
- Well developed communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
- Australian Citizenship is desirable.
- Registered member of Engineers Australia (preferred).
- Working towards CPEng or interest in pursuing CPEng (preferred).
