Our client, a major EPCM company in the Mining Industry, is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to work on an initial 12-month contract in Perth, WA.
We are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Electrical Engineer to play a pivotal role in the assessment of a 33KV line project. The primary focus will be on ensuring power supply to all devices, including pumping stations and dewatering units, with a particular emphasis on low voltage (LV) systems. This role encompasses the entire design process, from the initial basic design phase to the intricate details.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct an evaluation of the 33KV line, ensuring power supply to essential devices such as pumping stations and dewatering units, with a specific focus on LV systems (no HV reticulation).
Undertake both basic and detailed design phases for the project.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of the design.
Possess a strong understanding of Electrical Engineering principles and standards.
Ensure compliance with Engineers Australia requirements.
Utilize a design engineering background, with a preference for those with experience in mining non-process infrastructure.
Demonstrate expertise in onshore oil and gas projects (consideration will be given).
Exhibit high energy and motivation, with a proactive approach to work.
Ability to work independently, demonstrating initiative and effective communication skills.
Candidate Requirements:
Hold a recognized Electrical Engineering Degree by Engineers Australia.
Possess a minimum of 8 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.
Background in design engineering (not project engineer/site-based, construction/commissioning).
Expertise in low voltage (LV) is essential.
Preferred experience in mining non-process infrastructure; consideration will be given to onshore oil and gas projects.
High energy and driven individuals are desired for this role.
Must be able to work independently, showing initiative and strong communication skills.
