Position:  Senior Electrical Engineer

Location: Perth CBD with flexible work arrangements. 

Role Overview:

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in leading and executing projects focused on power generation, protection, distribution, and the associated equipment. You will leverage your expertise in power systems modelling, protection setting coordination, and arc flash analysis to enhance our systems' efficiency and safety. Your broad knowledge or understanding of control PLCs software will be instrumental in integrating advanced control solutions into our power systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement HV & LV power generation and distribution systems.
• Conduct comprehensive power systems modelling and simulation to optimize system performance.
• Develop and coordinate protection settings to ensure system reliability and safety.
• Perform arc flash analysis and recommend mitigation strategies to enhance personnel and equipment safety.
• Interface with control systems using PLC software, contributing to the development and integration of control strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure the seamless integration of electrical systems with other project components.
• Lead project teams, providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
• Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in power systems engineering.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering with a focus on HV & LV power generation, protection, and distribution systems.
• Demonstrated experience in power systems modelling, protection setting coordination, and arc flash analysis. Strong knowledge or understanding of control PLCs software is highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills. Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
