They are a multi-discipline consulting engineering firm with Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast offices.

Their highly experienced team of senior engineers, CAD designers, and administrative staff have been involved in projects in all states of Australia and Papua New Guinea. Their clients include builders, developers, architects, project managers, and government departments. They have experience across many industries, including healthcare, education, retail, community, residential, hotel, mining, industrial, and commercial.
They are a multi-disciplinary firm of over 20 staff, including a team of rigorously selected engineers. They believe coordination with other team members – both inside the office and out – is key to the success of a project. Each member of the company is an active contributor to their team of skilled individuals, who form a close-knit, highly efficient unit with a reputation for delivering on promises and meeting deadlines.
The Role
To work within a team in undertaking electrical design for Building Services projects, applying knowledge and experience to assist their clients in achieving a satisfactory outcome.
To act as a Project Leader when required, providing leadership and coordination across all disciplines.
This role is responsible for ensuring the highest standard of design and documentation is prepared most efficiently to meet the required standards of the company and the customer.
Engineers form the core workgroup within the organisation. They work directly with clients and with other workgroups within the company to produce the design documentation or perform the service that the customer requests.
Engineers typically report to the project leader and/or directly to the client as appropriate for each project.
The Responsibilities
Senior Engineer responsibilities and authorities include:

• Liaison with potential customers during the initial scope definition and fee proposal stage of a project
• Preparation and submission of fee proposals (with assistance from other workgroups as required)
• Ensuring that resources are available to complete the works to customer requirements
• Coordinating workgroups internally to ensure that customer requirements are met, including programming
• Advising all other workgroups of new information received (e.g. updated drawings, design briefs, room data sheets, etc.)
• Engineering design including; concept sketches, design calculations, and coordination with other disciplines, both external and internal to the company
• Preparation of technical drawings and specifications of sufficient detail to meet customer requirements (from concept drawings to detailed design as required by each project)
• Checking work performed by other workgroups in the preparation of design documentation (e.g. drafting work or typing)
• Liaising with customers throughout the project to determine their requirements and ensure that the documentation meets those requirements (including program)
• Preparation of engineering reports as required by the customer
• Onsite inspections and reports as needed for each project
• Resolution of site issues
• Maintain appropriate qualifications, registration, and continuing professional development
• Provide or arrange for certification of product compliance with code requirements
• Invoicing for works completed
• Work within the company's internal policies and procedures
• Seeking peer review of documentation in accordance with the requirements of the company's Quality Management System
• Assistance as required with the day-to-day running of the business

The Technical Requirements

• Technical or degree qualified in Electrical Engineering
• Eligibility for membership in a recognised professional engineering body
• Sufficient ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Be aware of current and previous projects undertaken by the company
• Keep management informed on the progress of the work on all significant matters relating to or arising from the duties and functions under your control
• Intermediate skills in (but not limited to) CAD, Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, File maker, Email, and Bluebeam
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
