Senior Electrical Project Manager

Our client is a well-regarded, Award-Winning Electrical Contractor successfully delivering commercial, construction and light industrial projects across Southeast Queensland for over 40 years. This is a unique career opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the Construction Division, a team of industry professionals, delivering a diverse range of technically challenging and exciting construction projects.

Primary Objective
The ideal candidate will bring extensive knowledge and experience in new construction projects, demonstrating a successful track record in managing multi million-dollar electrical contracts in various forms inclusive of design and construct.

Reporting to the Construction Managers, this is an integral role within the organisation and will see you responsible for all aspects of the project deliverables, mentoring junior Project Managers and ensuring the accurate delivery of projects. 

Key Responsibilities

• Be proactive in supporting Junior Project Managers through a hands on approach
• Ensure projects are proactively managed, executed according to the project plan, schedule and budget, as well as assisting in the resolution of issues;
• Understand project contingencies, risk management and opportunities;
• Adherence and management of all requirements within the subcontract;
• Measure project budgets and guide a strategic approach to forecasting whilst minimising financial risks;
• Building & solidifying strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
• Forecast and program project resources, including labour schedules and equipment;
• Measure vendor performance for suppliers, subcontractors and consultants engaged by the company;
• Ensure all progress claims are reviewed and submitted according to the contractual requirements;
• Periodic reporting to Construction Managers on project performance
• Assistance and guidance in initial project design
• Review of Tenders whilst working within the Preconstruction team
• As a business-critical role you will lead by example in maintaining the core values of the company both internally and externally.
