About your opportunity
Electronics Technician Senior / Permanent full-time
The Senior Electronics Technician will provide operational leadership, direction and day-to-day management of the Electronic Trade Team function and capabilities.
The Senior Electronics Technician will possess a strong acumen and understanding of asset management and maintenance as it relates to electronic systems and equipment, project management, contract management, risk management and business continuity management.
What we are looking for?:

  • Proven high-level ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary work groups to achieve desired outcomes in a highly complex and limited resource environment.
  • Proven high-level experience in managing complex electronics engineering services and critical infrastructure within a healthcare environment.
  • Proven high-level knowledge of relevant Statutory Acts, Regulations and Standards applicable to Buildings and Engineering Services in a major multidisciplinary organization.
  • Proven high-level knowledge of work place health and safety, equal employment opportunity and antidiscrimination practices and behaviours as applied in the working environment.
  • Proven high-level written and oral interpersonal communication skills.
Generous remuneration package value up to $122,074 p.a. comprising:
  • Salary range of $100,410 to $106,992 p.a. (TO4)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Role Requirements
  • Possession of a relevant trade certificate or diploma from an Australian University, Registered Training Organisation or an overseas qualification deemed equivalent by the Australian Government and/or relevant registration body.
  • Aged Care Pre-Employment Screening: Applicants are advised this position works in an identified Aged Care Facility as per the Aged Care Act 1997 and therefore requires employees and volunteers to have a current National Police Certificate. Queensland Health will facilitate applicants obtaining the above National Police Certificate.
  • Proof of qualification and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • The following knowledge, skills and experience will be highly regarded:
  • Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD).
  • Open cablers registration coupled with relevant endorsements.
  • Relevant experience and/or certified training in operation and maintenance, fault finding, and repair of Significant Electronic Systems and Equipment, ICT software applications and Engineering Network Infrastructure in a healthcare environment.
  • This position is located at The Townsville Hospital campus and may be required to travel throughout the Townsville HHS catchment area.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate licence endorsement to operate this vehicle is required.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis
