We are currently recruiting for an Senior Engineer (Electrical and Lighting Assets) for our client, a Local Government agency based near Sydney CBD. This is an initial contract until 31/12/2024 with possibility of extension. 38 hours per week, pay rate of $49-$73 per hour + super dependent on experience.
This position ensures that the design, implementation, and management of public domain lighting schemes, and associated Electrical and Lighting infrastructure is consistent with the City’s standards, the 2050 vision and sustainable renewal objectives
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical lead in the management of the City’s Electrical and Lighting network asset base through the provision of technical expertise and the development and implementation of Electrical and Lighting standards, policies and strategies to ensure best practice in the delivery of public domain lighting services to the community
- Under the guidance of the Principal Engineer, manages the City’s lighting and electrical assets, including condition assessment, scoping of projects, preparing maintenance and renewal programs
- Investigate public domain Electrical and Lighting issues
- Develop programs for submission, for expanding the City’s Electrical and Lighting asset network
- University Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing public domain/street Lighting Assets
- Previous experience in reviewing and approving lighting and electrical designs produced by external consultants, and electrical inspection and testing procedures
- Demonstrated experience in asset management, including the development of works programs.
