About the role
Reporting to the Delivery Manager of Integration, you will be joining a fast-paced team of software engineers and operate in an agile environment. This team's mission is to build bridges between the different tooling, infrastructure & business services that power Coles. Our brands rely on this seamless integration to serve over 21 million customers at over 2,500 outlets around Australia every day.
Your expertise will have a real impact and help shape the way our customers shop online and in store, as we continue to drive innovation and optimise customer experiences.
The engineering teams at Coles are proud on their successful delivery of customer-focused solutions. This is a highly sought after opportunity for a Senior Software Engineer who is looking to gain invaluable, marketable skills in an organisation that is truly leading the industry.
About you and your skills:
To be successful in this role and team, we require the following criteria to be met:
- Experience in backend development, in a senior capacity
- Experience with Node.js, TypeScript, ECMAScript, JavaScript, Express, Sequelize, Apollo and familiarity with relational databases like Postgres, MSSQL, etc
- Ability to code and deploy applications in Kubernetes and Docker
- Ability to adopt Agile Methodologies
- Experience with API integrations, REST APIs
- Experience in building microservices and serverless components either in the AWS or Azure space
- Understand the CI/CD approaches and ability to contribute to the application pipelines and infra as code
- Holds in high regard the quality of the code and puts measures in place to ensure the quality and performance
- Extensive commercial experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Cloud experience mandatory, Azure preferred
- Experience with JFrog, SonarQube, Azure DevOps and Terraform IaC.
