Your new company
Our client is a Public Sector Organisation located on the south side of Brisbane. They are looking to engage a Senior Engineer (Pavements and Structures) to join their team to facilitate and lead the professional and technical services in Road Asset Management.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be the technical expert for bridges, culverts, pavements, and other road structures whilst also managing pavement design approval processes. The role involves leading and managing structural analysis and evaluation of treatment alternatives for all Infrastructure Services, Roads and Drainage Capital Works delivery objectives.
You will also be responsible for the following:
- Field inspection/investigations/measure
- Develop technical briefs for consulting service and manage the engagement of consultants
- Information management;
- Infrastructure rehabilitation programs based on condition modelling;
- Financial reporting of infrastructure including consumption modelling;
- Geographical representation of infrastructure assets;
- Asset management planning and level of service determinations.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to succeed, you will have a Degree in Civil Engineering with eligibility for membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia as well as RPEQ registration. You will also ideally have post-graduate qualifications in the road pavement / bridge/ asset management field.
You will also demonstrate experience in the following areas:
- Extensive experience in structure incorporating, investigation, design, maintenance, construction and analysis for rehabilitation.
- Demonstrated bridge management (QDMR Level 2 Bridge Inspection Accreditation) or maintenance experience.
- Demonstrated sound knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure Management Systems
- Experience with Circly Pavement Design Software, SMEC Pavement Management System and a Geographical Information System (GIS), preferably MapInfo/ArcGIS.
- Demonstrated knowledge in Asset Management
What you'll get in return
Our client is offering an initial contract until April 2024, with potential to extend work with a well-developed technical team assisting on complex technical projects. They are offering $65 - $70 per hour plus super, with flexibility depending on experience.
