Senior Engineer Stormwater Infrastructure

• $98,435 pa + super (up to 12%) + leave loading +  9 day fortnight
• (increasing to $101,881 pa effective 1 July 2024)
  Qld Local Government Industry Award (Stream A,) - Level 6 of EBA5
• 72.5 hour fortnight
• Hybrid, flexible working environment, including some work from home days.
• Location:  Our Strathpine office has local parking on-site and is in close proximity to public transport networks.

About our opportunity

As our Senior Engineer Stormwater Infrastructureyou willprovide technical engineering advice and undertake complex investigations for a range of Stormwater Infrastructure, drainage, flood and water quality related matters to meet the needs of the community. 

You will lead and/or undertake stormwater design investigations and also have the opportunity to Project Manage these designs delivered by specialist consultancies.

In delivering these projects you will: 

• prepare and present complex technical reports and correspondence describing the outcome of engineering investigations, and complete preliminary design and preparation of cost estimates.
• build strong relationships and networks with internal and external stakeholders to ensure stormwater & waterway infrastructure and service delivery outcomes are achieved.
• have the opportunity and responsibility for the delivery of a range of projects in the Capital Works program.

We are seeking someone with comprehensive knowledge and experience in Stormwater Infrastructure management, planning and design. You will have excellent project management skills and be able to build excellent relationship with all key stakeholders within your team, across council and with external groups. 

Key skills you will bring; 

• considerable experience in completing complex technical investigations relating to Stormwater Infrastructure
• the ability to apply critical thinking, reasoning, evaluation and decision-making skill and experience in the preparation and presentation of complex technical reports and recommendations
• great communication skills and have the ability to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will hold Degree in Civil or Environmental engineering, Planning or equivalent.
