About the role
The position is a senior member of the Road asset management team which primarily provides safe and sustainable planning solutions for the city’s road assets.
Work closely with all Roads Group branches and other stakeholders to ensure that their requirements, including dependencies and technical requirements are met, and that they are regularly informed of progress on strategic structure life cycle management issues through regular meetings and reporting.

Essential requirements of the role include, but are not limited to:
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering with eligibility for membership of the institution of Engineers Australia RPEQ registration is required.
- Demonstrated bridge management (QDMR Level 2 Bridge Inspection Accreditation) or maintenance experience.
- Experience with Geographical Information System (GIS), preferably ArcGIS.
- Demonstrated knowledge of structures codes and Queensland safe design of structures code of practice.
- Ability to interpret geotechnical reports and apply appropriately to road and structure projects
- “C" class drivers licence
Progressions to or appointment at Level 8 will be subject to you obtaining and retaining RPEQ Structural status and having demonstrated the ability to work under broad direction and having extensive knowledge and experience in formulating, implementing, monitoring and evaluating projects, programs and policies in a complex environment.
