Waste and Resource Recovery

The role
At SMEC, we consider waste a resource and we strive to achieve sustainable development through avoidance, recovery and reuse of resources and efficient resource management. We are seeking a Senior Environmental/Civil Engineer to join our growing and successful Waste and Resource Recovery team.
If you have an interest in genuinely improving the environment and would like the opportunity to manage the entirety of a projects whilst being mentored by a market-leading team, we would like to hear from you. Landfill design projects consist of all major civil disciplines: surface water, geotech, earthworks, erosion & sediment control, traffic and water infrastructure.
The rule book is small, and the opportunities for creative thinking are large….
Ideal applicants will have/be:
- Civil or Environmental Engineering degree or similar
- 6+ years' experience, ideally within the waste or urban development
- Excellent report writing skills
- Proven project management and client relationship management capability
- Well-developed communication skills both verbal and written
- Flexible work arrangement to support work/life balance
