We work closely with our portfolio partners, Department of Transport and Public Transport Authority as well as local government to support the needs of all road users across the state by providing an integrated world-class road transport network.Our regional locations offer picturesque way of living, and our Pilbara office is looking to appoint several Asset Management professionals who are seeking a change of pace and be rewarded with enticing incentives and benefits.Don’t take our word for it, see what it's like to work for Main Roads in the Pilbara Region in this .Why Asset Management?The Asset Manager is a critical leadership role within the Pilbara Regional team, assisting to develop, recommend and monitor plans and programs for the efficient and effective management, use, preservation, improvement, and expansion of the Pilbara Road network.Main Roads is currently seeking two (2) Asset Managers to join this dynamic and high performing team! As an Asset Manager, you will undertake consultation, liaison and negotiation with stakeholders (e.g. industry, the community, other agencies and local Government) on road asset management plans, programs and intervention standards.The Pilbara Region has broken the Asset Management function into two (2) core areas, ‘Strategic’ and ‘Operational.’ The Strategic area has a primary focus on the future of the network. Developing strategies, route and link plans, which will lead to the prioritisation and selection of the correct project at the right time, along with writing business cases, funding submissions and reviewing and commenting on external development applications. The Operational area will focus on the use of road condition and visual inspection data to produce a Ten Year Network Delivery Plan and Annual Works Program within a constrained budget environment. This area will also review complex external works within the road reserve. - Be dynamic and experienced in co-ordinating the preparation and development of the Ten Year Network Plan and Annual Works program
- Develop solutions and priorities to optimise the performance of the road network.
- Have applied your strong technical capability to develop projects and prepare business cases for projects including project cost estimation.
- Take an innovative approach to work within the agreed allocations, providing specialist advice for the management of the road corridor planning process across the region.
- Ability to manage a team who have varying degrees of experience and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Work across disciplines and be solutions focused.
- Ability to develop positive, professional relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders and manage consultants.
- Skilled with the use of Microsoft Excel and ability to learn digital applications quickly.
