Form of workStrategically positioned in Townsville, Queensland this respected construction contractor has successfully delivered projects across marine, TMR, dams, major pipelines remediation works and many more. This stable and growing contractor has forged lasting partnerships with major private companies along with local Councils. They are known for delivering projects ranging from $1M - $35M.
You will be expected to negotiate pricing, read contract documentation, form meaningful networks and enhance client relationships. You’ll be working with the Senior Estimator to achieve revenue forecasts and deliver winning estimates.
Key Accountabilities
- Seek opportunities from all tender sites and mediums to deliver works in accordance with our business core skills and assets
- Make industry connections with suppliers and resources that will provide a competitive advantage during estimating
- Work with the Tender Administrator to deliver outstanding submissions that are strictly in accordance with the client’s templates and expectations
- Seek resources within and external of the organisation that provides practical methodologies that tenders will be estimated from. Skills, productivity, and plant must match the works being estimated.
Key Skills & Experience
- Ideally 8 + years in an appointment of an Estimator
- Industry experience across civil construction projects
- Software experience across Expert Estimator, Microsoft Project or Microsoft Office
- Being able to create construction programs to match the project estimates
- Demonstrate efficiency in developing tender methodologies that match the estimate and the program
- Contribute to and being part of the business culture where teamwork, cooperation, customer service; quality, safety, and environment are the focus
