Senior Event Producer

At City Parklands, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brisbane City Council, we are passionate about parks, public places and people and we deliver integrated place management for South Bank Parklands, Roma Street Parkland, Victoria Park/Barrambin and most recently Anzac Square on behalf of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government. As the trusted custodians of these premier parklands, we acknowledge the responsibility to manage, enhance and enliven these beautiful places effectively and efficiently.

We are looking for a new team member to join our team as a Senior Event Producer for a full-time 6-month temporary contract, who enjoys working in a fast-paced, multifaceted role with a passion for organisation. This position will work closely with the operational teams and external contractors and suppliers and is responsible for providing exceptional event planning which will deliver a unique outdoor event experience at Victoria Park/Barrambin.

As the Senior Event Producer, you will:

• Manage the overall planning, programming, development, and coordination of the event from inception to completion
• Project manage the operational delivery across the full event site to ensure timelines and milestones are achieved
• Development of a suite of detailed event documentation to support exceptional event delivery, inclusive but not limited to an event schedule, event manual, risk assessment and information kits for relevant stakeholders
• Liaise with clients, internal and external stakeholders, suppliers, and partners to ascertain their precise requirements to ensure smooth operations during bump in/out and at the event
• Working with activity providers on ensuring their events and activities are operationally achievable within the parklands and additional infrastructure and production are supported to ensure a safe event site for both participants and general event attendees.
• Manage the event budget and ensure the event is delivered within the allocated budget
• Oversee and manage a team of event staff and contractors to assist with the event delivery. Ensuring all persons coming onsite are inducted, briefed, and understand their roles and responsibilities whilst onsite.
• Work with the Safety Business Partner to ensure thorough health and safety reviews and risk management assessment and execution

The ideal candidate will have:

• A minimum of 5 years professional Event Producer experience, specifically managing outdoor operations and logistics in a multi-venue festival setting
• Understanding of the requirements in executing outdoor sporting events
• Proactive in understanding the event project brief and role requirements and delivering high quality outcomes
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations, event logistics and risk assessment processes
• Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills
• Proven success in managing stakeholder relations
