We have an empowering and inclusive culture with open and effective management providing career stability.About the roleWe have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Finance Manager to lead the finance team supporting the Merchandise, Marketing and Online teams for Liquor.You will Coach and mentor a team of 9, comprising of 4 Finance Business Partners, 1 Finance Manager and 4 indirect Finance Business partners in the Store Support Centre responsible for providing ongoing strategic analysis, decision support, financial reporting, planning & forecasting, and financial transactional processing.You will also;
- Work in partnership with the Merch, Marketing & Transformation GMs and their leadership team, provide strategic, commercial decision support, and governance, ensuring business unit strategies and initiatives deliver annual budget targets, EBIT efficiencies and working capital improvements.
- Support the business unit to deliver strategic priorities and outcomes
- Work across business & finance to ensure that key stakeholders are consulted to ensure project impacts are clearly understood, measurable and change is communicated
- Influence and drive improvements in the end-to-end finance functions across key platforms
- Drive improvements in relevant commercial KPIs such as return on space, margin rate, waste & markdowns, availability and working capital optimisation, and drive effective commercial decision making on category roles, range reviews and initiatives
- A diverse finance background covering Financial Control, Financial reporting, Planning & Analysis, and Commercial partnering
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- CA/ CPA (or equivalent) with extensive post qualification experience
