Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your Finance management expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You'll report to the Finance Director - Signalling, ANZ, and work alongside a diverse group of Colleagues that support our Digital & Integrated Systems business.

You'll play a critical role in partnering with our Project leadership team to provide strategic and operational finance support. You will be based in our Perth CBD office and support a major project, critical to Alstom ANZ.

We'll look to you for:

  • Project Initiation and mobilization: Liaising with the Finance Tender Manager to understand and implement the global financial strategy ensuring a smooth transition from Tender to Project execution
  • Contributing to the project initial set up including financial system together with the customer and alliance partner to provide transparency towards customer and internal stakeholders
  • Business Partner to the Project Director and support in decision making, ensure functions are hold accountable for Quality, Time & Cost
  • Leading, coaching and managing a local Finance team.
  • Providing reliable financial analysis to assist in the decision-making (Explain, justify and keep record in detail).
  • Set up of transparency of all financial flows to support the "open book" processes within the alliance and internal stakeholders. Ensure full cost reimbursement and all project audit requirements are dealt with in a timely and professional manner.
  • Controlling the financial performance of the project, adding insight and accuracy to project financial information and raising "Early Warnings" when necessary
  • Jointly preparing with the project team, the project reviews content and reassess each semester the profitability, TOC, cash flow, R&O.
  • Ensuring full compliance with alliance model towards customer and ensure the project is at neutral FCF position (at minimum) by detailed monitoring of alliance cash flow
  • Managing and analyzing costs, revenue and profitability and drive the contract and claim management towards customer, partners, and suppliers.
  • Full visibility of Cost-To-Go at any time of the contract phase to ensure reliable reporting internally as well to the alliance

  • Significant experience in a similar role operating as a Finance Business Partner, Finance Director and/or Commercial Project Director and/or Senior Commercial Project Manager.
  • Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to manage people.
  • Master's degree in a commerce, finance, business administration or related fields of study.
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to challenge and influence others - internally and externally
  • Auditing and/or project operational experience preferred.
  • Experience in Alliances/Joint-Ventures will be highly regarded.
