Senior Financial Accountant

Immediate start for an experienced Senior Financial Accountant to manage this privately owned national organisation's Financial Year End. Based in their Mt Waverly head office, you will hit the ground running during this crucial time. 

Duties:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be responsible for; 

• Calculation and posting of accruals and prepayments. Maintenance of schedules
• Daily Bank Reconciliation and cash reporting, multiple currencies
• Book and tax accounting of fixed assets
• Preparation of periodic financial statements and business-specific financial reports
• Balance Sheet Reconciliations
• Account for Leases & Foreign Exchange Contracts .
• Calculate and lodge the annual FBT return and state-based payroll taxes. Provide information for the calculation of monthly BAS.
• Oversee payment of taxes, complying with regulations
• Monitoring and reporting on accounting inconsistencies.
• Support internal audit activities and lead external audit activities.

Skills & experience

• You will be CA/CPA qualified
• Have previous experience working in a similar Senior Financial Accountant capacity
• Be immediately available
• Proficient with Excel, with a strong background in VLook Ups and Pivot Tables
