Job description

The role 

Ultimately reporting to the Director, Financial Business Partnering. Your role will be to facilitate, support, and deliver on high quality management accounting, reporting, monitoring, analysis, and financial advice in a Public Sector and semi-commercial environment

The successful person

The essential requirements for this role are:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in the provision of financial services, including management accounting concepts, practices, and strategies; and financial management legislation, policies, and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills with the use and development of contemporary financial reporting practices, reporting fundamentals, and the understanding of financing, cost and revenue structures, drivers, and the relationship between each.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills and experience
  • Well-developed communication, negotiation, and consultation skills within a multidisciplinary workplace
  • Demonstrated organisational skills with the ability to manage a heavy workload, competing priorities, and the ability to meet deadlines and establish work priorities
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to understand formula driven financial models and prepare data analysis and reconciliations with a high degree of accuracy and consistency. Financial analytics systems experience will be highly regarded.
  • Finance or equivalent qualifications will be highly regarded
