The key duties of the position include
The position is within a fast paced and dynamic environment and will require the successful applicant to:
- Provide advice and support to the Department around the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework, which includes the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act (PGPA Act) 2013, Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs), Financial Delegation schedules and internal policies.
- Manage the Departments compliance with the Resource Management Framework including administration of it's Financial Management Compliance System (FMCS)
- Provide assurance and compliance reporting on the framework which involves supporting, reviewing and finalising non-compliances, and preparing communications to staff informing them of their obligations.
- Respond to compliance queries and other financial governance queries via a dedicated hotline and inbox, maintaining key corporate policies and preparing senate estimates briefs.
- Develop, coordinate and facilitate financial literacy offerings for the department, including training courses, guidance materials and intranet resources.
