Portfolio Funding is a specialist business within the Bank's Business & Agri Division which specializes in the financing and acquiring of third party originated debt portfolios across many different asset classes, using securitization techniques to mitigate the risks inherent in the assets.
If you are looking for the next step in your career and you come from a similar background either in banking or other financial services institutions. This role is for you, as Senior Financial Modeller you will develop, maintain and operate the various models that support the Portfolio Funding business.
This ranges from credit enhancement models, program cashflow models and models that support departmental performance reporting. We seek those with basic business and consumer lending competency, exposure to securitization, structured finance, corporate finance, and/or project finance to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
In this role you will get to do:
- Prepare pre and post settlement transaction financial analysis and cashflow modelling
- Build, maintain and manage credit enhancement models
- Build maintain and manage cashflow and reporting models for each Portfolio Funding program. This will include interpreting legal documentation to understand key contractual reporting and management obligations.
- Provide assistance to Program Management teams around model build, amendments and validate updates.
- Some interstate traveling may be required for this role. This is a senior level role for someone looking for that next step in their career.
These are the essential skills and attributes will help you succeed in this role:
- Advanced Excel skills including complex formula writing and VBA.
- Very strong financial modelling and financial mathematics experience with the proven ability to build and manage complex financial models.
- Demonstrate a sound knowledge of portfolio, trust and general treasury operations
- An understanding of the issues to consider in risk assessing debt portfolios and to recommend structural solutions for wholesale funding programs
- Some knowledge of wholesale funding deal structuring
- Some accounting, legal and credit knowledge
This is a full time, permanent position, based in preferably in Adelaide . We offer flexible work options that put our people first, and a hybrid model of two days in a local office per week.
