Eternus is now seeking a deeply experienced Financial Planner to stand up and lead our Financial Planning capabilities.
About the opportunityThe Senior Financial Planner role will play a key role in enhancing regulatory compliance and guiding investors towards Eternus’s financial products more effectively. This role will ensure we meet industry standards while providing high-quality financial planning services to our clients.
Relevant Duties
- Provide a high-quality customer experience by understanding client needs and recommending appropriate financial strategies.
- Conduct periodic client reviews to ensure ongoing alignment with their financial goals.
- Compile written financial reviews, including Statement of Advice / Record of Advice.
- Ensure all client contact adheres to compliance and professional standards.
- Completing all Continuing Professional Development obligations.
- Conduct compliance reviews of client advice with peers.
- Build collaborative relationships with the Eternus Group’s legal, finance, and risk and compliance teams.
- Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and changes in financial regulations that may impact clients, and adapt and enhance financial planning strategies.
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure compliance with relevant standards and guidelines.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications which meet the current requirements for Authorised Representative designation. For most, this will be a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Commerce, Economics or Finance, and completion of an approved short industry course.
- Be listed as current on the Financial Advisers Register and fully meet FASEA education standards.
- A minimum of 8 years' proven experience offering comprehensive financial planning advice to retail clients.
- Proficiency in superannuation advice, particularly self-managed super funds.
- Familiarity with financial services industry, legislative and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated history of delivering compliant, ethical and productive personal advice.
- Strong commitment to ethical practices, always prioritising the best interests of clients.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective client relationships.
- Knowledge of investment products and self-managed superannuation funds.
- Strong business planning, networking, and negotiation skills
