The Opportunity The finance directorate’s cash management team monitors and maintains cash inflows and outflows to ensure that all of Communities’ operating entities have sufficient funds to meet current obligations.
As a Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst you will be responsible for the preparation and monitoring of budgets, including maintaining information in the Treasury Strategic Information Management System (SIMS), the development and maintenance of financial costing models for the costing of services and the preparation of reports including the Executive Management Report. This role works collaboratively with Managers and staff to ensure provision of high-quality service.

To be successful in the role you will be required to demonstrate the following Work-Related requirements (Selection Criteria):
- Considerable experience with modern financial reporting systems and delivering outcomes in an environment with complex financial and management reporting obligations, including the application of legislation and the Australian Accounting Standards.
- Highly developed communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, including experience in consulting with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret and apply complex legislation, and the ability to research complex issues and make appropriate recommendations.
- Strong conceptual, financial analytical and evaluation skills, including the ability to provide high level innovative solutions to complex financial problems.
