Who are we looking for?
Our Victorian Building Engineering group has an opportunity for a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to join the team, in either Melbourne or Geelong, following several significant project wins. In this role you will work as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team across a variety of commercial, educational, Defence and health projects.
Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Investigating, designing and implementing a range of Fire Protection projects
• Working in a varied, hands-on role with a leadership angle across all aspects of design and design management for Fire Protection components
• Managing project budgets to deliver positive financial outcomes that balance quality and schedule requirements while meeting/exceeding client expectations
• Delegating and supervising the work of junior engineers, and partnering with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
• Providing technical input and leadership to projects, including QA/QC of project deliverables
• Developing new business including preparation of proposals and bids for projects

What would you bring to the team?

• Degree qualified Engineer with 8-10+ years of experience in the building services space, ideally in a consulting environment
• Practical knowledge of relevant Australian Standards and National Code of Construction
• Victorian Professional Engineer Registration, or working towards it
• VBA registration is an essential requirement of the role
• Ability to write reports, tenders, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
• Conduct site audits and develop quotations and engineering submissions
• Capacity to lead, train and mentor junior engineers across technical and project delivery aspects;
• Knowledge of BIM, NavisWorks and Revit advantageous
• As an expectation of the role is to work on Australian Defence projects, you will be required to hold Australian citizenship and be willing to obtain or already possess a Baseline security clearance or higher.
