About the Role
Are you an experienced professional with a strong background in processing FOI requests, ensuring strict compliance with legislative requirements and looking for your next role? If so, keep reading.
This ongoing Senior FOI Advisor role is a key position within our organisation, collaborating closely with the Manager FOI, Privacy & Appeals to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality, timely FOI services.
In this role, you will be responsible for responding to and processing FOI requests in strict accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 1982 (VIC) (the Act) and Professional Standards. Additionally, your days will see you actively contribute to enhancing CFA Member's awareness of their legislative obligations under the Act.
The Senior FOI Advisor will also provide crucial support to the Manager on privacy-related matters when required. This position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in continuing to develop our organization's approach to FOI services and fostering a culture of compliance and FOI awareness.
About You
The ideal candidate will bring specialised knowledge in interpreting and applying the Act and Professional Standards, providing expert advice on legislative obligations.
With a related tertiary qualification or extensive experience in processing complex FOI requests, your meticulous attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality will by highly valued. Your superior organisational and time-management skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Adobe Pro, Redax, and guaranteed compliance within legislative timelines will be highly regarded.
Furthermore, your proven ability to offer accurate advice and support, build positive relationships, and showcase high-level written and oral communication skills makes you an ideal candidate for this role.
