About the role
As Senior Full Stack Engineer you will lead the ongoing development and maintenance of our Digital platform. You will be an key contributor in supporting business strategies through the delivery of Digital transformation program, developing features and functions of various complexity, executing day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our core platform.
As a Senior Full Stack Engineer, you will work closely with the business and product leaders to design and implement enhancements to meet the current needs of the business, supporting the company’s goal of leading product offerings and business growth.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Utilise current Full Stack development techniques and tools to deliver successful applications.
- Collaborate with team members (designers, business owner, product manager etc) to design and develop required solutions.
- Development activities for to support and enhance Rails applications built on Ruby, PostGreSQL, and AWS
- Ensure quality outcomes through the planning and execution of Unit testing and Systems Testing (where required) of new features / solutions.
About You:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in Ruby on Rails project environments.
- Hold experience in architectural design for complex software solutions.
- Proficient in Ruby (with a focus on Rails) and RESTful API design principles.
- Well-versed in AWS services such as RDS, Elastic Beanstalk, CloudFront, and Load Balancer.
- Strong skills in web development: HTML, CSS, Javascript, JQuery
- Solid grounding in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and a passion for clean code.
- Proficiency in Unit/Integration testing.
- Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Agile methodology and delivery process experience.
