Join us as a Senior Full Stack Web Developer on a contract basis and play a pivotal role in shaping the technological landscape of one of Australia's most dynamic regions.Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Web Developer with a proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining robust web applications. As a contractor, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and modernize digital platforms that impact citizens across Queensland.Key responsibilities: Undertake the technical development and maintenance of the departments websites based on a thorough understanding of various content management systems used within the department including Squiz DXP, Drupal and Wordpress. Plan, design, develop and implement technical solutions to address various departmental business requirements. Evaluate and re-develop existing websites and components to improve functionality, usability, accessibility, and overall user experience. Understand information security and can design solutions and services with security controls embedded, specifically engineered as mitigation against security threats as a core part of the solutions and services. Research and maintain an active working knowledge of current and emerging technologies/online best practices in the field of web development in order to improve customer access to information. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders Essential requirements: Proficiency in web development including a strong understanding of web development languages like HTML5, CSS/SCSS, JavaScript and PHP, MySQL, node.js. Additionally, you should have experience with web frameworks like jQuery, React, Vue, or AngularJS and experience with API integration to web services using REST or SOAP. Strong experience with various content management system frameworks including Squiz Matrix (Desirable) and Word Press (Essential) Advanced knowledge and skills to design, code, and test web applications that align with accessibility best practice, following the international standards and guidelines of WCAG Strong problem-solving skills to identify and solve issues that arise during the development process. This includes debugging code, troubleshooting issues with plugins, and testing website functionality.
