This position sits in the GIS and Land Information team and is part of the IT Department. The Senior GIS Technician will take the lead role in the creation and maintenance of Council’s extensive Planning, Asset and Environmental related spatial data. This supervisory role requires supporting the ongoing development, training, and workload of our GIS Technicians. Therefore, to be successful, you must have strong leadership experience and demonstrated abilities in managing people. You will hold tertiary qualifications in Spatial Systems, Cartography, or related discipline and have sound knowledge and understanding of the Technology One local government software platform.

Salary:
- Base salary $80,600 p.a. - $88,700 p.a. (commencing salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate depending on qualifications, skills and experience)
- Superannuation (11%)
Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
