We are recruiting for a permanent fulltime Senior Global Marketing Manager, to be ideally located in our ANZ corporate Head Office located in Northgate, Brisbane or alternatively remote given the Global nature of the position.
Reporting to the Global Head of Marketing, this key appointment will define the global vision and strategy of our Gut Health category, inclusive of developing our innovation pipeline and managing the portfolio. To achieve this, our target appointment will communicate and collaborate effectively with key stakeholders within our Global Executive, Marketing, R&D and Supply Chain teams, located throughout Asia Pacific, North America and Europe.
Key Responsibilities;
Category Insights & Market Intelligence
- Understand the global natural medicines and Vitamins & Supplements market and provide in depth understanding of consumers, competitors, portfolio, products
- Partner with cross functional teams to identify growth opportunities, consumer unmet needs, emerging trends
Marketing Strategy
- Develop long-term category vision and strategy, defining priorities and track the performance against sales forecasts
- Partner with regional teams to drive implementation of the strategy, share best practices
- Partner with Consumer Insights to conduct market research to help inform recommendations
- Understand and clearly define the role of Brand Purpose for the long-term development of the brands
- Develop and recommend investment priorities and phased spending plans against agreed growth objectives
- Review performance of the category, own the category P&L - assess performance, risks & opportunities to propose action plans & lead corrective P&L optimization projects
- Optimize Brand equity for lead brands within your category including brand positioning, creative platforms & brand architecture working in collaboration with regional teams and agencies
- Work in collaboration with Global Finance & Regional Marketing leads to deliver aligned Long-Range Plans & Annual Operating Plans
Innovation and Portfolio Management for Global Category
- Drive Strategic Portfolio Management that strengthens the base business through package, product and/or claim updates
- Set the vision for the cross-functional team on new development projects and leading the teams to bring strong innovation to market
- Define long term innovation strategy & roadmap for the category, stir implementation together with local marketing teams and R&D
- Work in conjunction with Innovation Managers on the launch of innovations including business cases, pricing guidelines, value proposition development & communication toolkit for local countries
- Evaluate the business potential of innovation requests coming from local teams
Skills and experience
- A Bachelor's degree is required, Master’s in business or marketing specialization preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in marketing
- Experience leading complex projects, and cross functional teams ideally in Global, Regional & Local positions
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders to bring them on the journey
- Project Management skills and demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time and in budget
- Demonstrated ability to generate and implement innovative strategies to build business success
- Externally connected, with an ability to operate with agility to capitalise on trends and deliver innovation
- Able to work flexibly to meet time zone challenges and attend early morning or late evening meeting as required with global colleagues
- Prior experience working in a global organization and collaborating with regional groups- highly regarded
- Pharmaceutical or VMS exposure- highly regarded
