This role is responsible for introducing and implementing efficient systems, procedures and policies in relation to governance and legislative compliance matters. You will also be providing guidance, advice and support to Council employees and Councillors on such matters. Through this advice and project and systems deliverables you will be working to balance the need for organisational compliance with legislative compliance such as staff delegations, Code of Conduct and Legislative Compliance Registers.
This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.
Key activities of this role include:
- Develop strategies to establish and/or improve systems to ensure organisational and legislative governance requirements are met
- Ensure Governance projects and activities are coordinated and implemented to meet agreed timeframes
- Provide advice and guidance to staff in the development and review of Governance documents.

- You have experience working with organisational compliance matters and legislative compliance matters and understand the differences in both
- You are experienced in implementing procedures and systems and delivering on projects to achieve organisational objectives in compliance
- You enjoy sharing your knowledge and expertise, while also learning from others

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $82.9k to $99.5k per annum dependent on skills and experience + 11% superannuation.
A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role, with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
